Soundhouse and Parliament

Today we went into Wellington. We caught the 8.26am train and had a very pleasant journey into town, I'm not so sure how the regular commuters felt! After a very quick walk, by our standards, to Capital E Soundhouse, we settled into the our charis and listened to Carl for about half an hour. He gave us the low down on what we could do using Sony Acid. Then he let us loose on the computers. In the two hours we were there some of us manged to make a 30 - 40sec music track. It was just amazing. Our teacher couldn't make up her mind on what she wanted, in the end it wasn't so bad. Next stop was Parliament "The Beehive". We had a luch with a banana and a carrot? We met Miranda who took us on a fantastic tour of Parliament. It is a shame that one of the security guards was easliy annoyed, we have defiantely been louder than that! We caught the 2.30 train back to Pllimmerton and left from the train station. Thanks to the paretn help, Sue and Carole as well as our teachers.

Laura

She smells like expensive shampoo at night and her sweet lolly smelling perfume, very irresistible, in the morning. She brushes through her light brown hair as it flows light a twirling river down passed her shoulder blades. My favourite sister, Laura is turning 21 in October this year. She sleeps like an exhausted baby in her bed downstairs after a hard day of work and usually gym. Her ringing voice comforts me and makes me feel warm. She talks about her random emails and how she gets to buy chocolate biscuits for work.

When she looks at me with her twinkling hazel eyes and long dark eyelashes I always feel loved. Sometimes I watch her help kids with their dances while she teaches. She hates helicopters even though she works with them. She has to send her free time she has studying for Uni. She loves her designer glasses and eats custard squares with her darling friends.

Laura is my most special person. We’re weird, like when we turn our favourite songs right up as we drive along the motorway! And how she loves and hates Twilight at the same time! I love it when she acts as if she’s the same age as me! “XOX”

Edie

My sister Edie has soft short blonde hair with a cute side fringe. She has a cheeky smile and little dimples on both her cheeks. Her eyes are sparkling blue like the ocean when the sun is shining on it, and a little freckled nose. She skips beside me and her head almost touches my shoulder, but not quite.

When I talk to Edie she always sounds either really excited, or really disappointed, never in the middle. She always smells sweet like a watermelon, or either exactly like baby powder. Edie always tells me about what she’s learning in ballet or guitar, or about what she does at lunch.

She can be such a little tattle-tale sometimes, like when I say a “naughty word” and her eyes pop out as she draws in a deep breath to shout “MUM NINA SWORED” and it really gets on my nerves. At the end of the day though, I realize, she’s a little 6 year old girl, who happens to have me as her big and oldest sister. What can you expect?

Taupo Syndicate so far !!!

The first day of school in Taupo Syndicate it was pretty much getting to know each other we had to do a treasure hunt with people in room 10 this year. After we got to know each other we started to start our school topic driving our own cars. We drew a car of how we wanted to be treated on it.
it was pretty weird for the year 7s cause the work got harder and it was a biiiggg jump from hongoeka.
We got told we were going on camp to Kaitoke on the 25th of feb to the 27th on camp we have to cook our own food sleep in tents do a talent skit and get to choose if we want to do a tramp or bike.
we have also had swimming that was ok we had to do way more lengths then last year and the most fun thing wehave done was tech
The yr 7s did studio and cooking yummmmm and the yr 8s did woodwork and ict
Another thing we have been doing is our numberplates for our cars

so far taupo syndicate has been awesome and we can't wait for the rest of the year

Kia Ora koutou

We are one and a half weeks into our 2009 school year. So what do we have in store this year? There are a new buch of year 7and 8's in room 10 this year, and I feel that we are going to have a great year. Well, we are heading to camp next week at Kaitoke Regional Park just on the other side of Upper Hutt. We are heading over for three days, two nights. ON the second day we are going to do the Rimutaka Incline or the Upper Valley tramp. It should be a good few days. In the same week we are going to go sailing, fingers crossed we get good weather for this.

Well will let you know how things go with camp, sailing and the rest of the week.

Stan is the Man LOVE this version.
