Butterfly Creek - Spring Tramp
Above is the map for Butterfly Creek, our spring tramp. We are not doing the whole thing just part of it. Yippee!!!!
Term 4
Well this is the final term of the year and I hope that the Year 8's enjoy their last days at Plimmerton, and the Year 7's look towards being good role models for those year 6's coming though.

OMG Gossip!!!!
This term in room 10 we have done heaps of awesome stuff like…………
Production – we are doing the Wizard Of NZ and we all have been practicing hard!!! We are singing the gumboot song and Dion has a solo bit and sounds great!!
TEC – The year sevens have been making ukuleles in wood work and have been making Power Points about ourselves in ICT. The year eights have been baking yummy stuff in the kitchen and been making cars in the studio.
Netball – The senior school had three teams playing netball this season. Plim red was in grade …… and came ……. Plim White (my team) was in grade 2 and came 1st YEAY!! Plim Navy was in grade 1 and were amazing but came second. All teams were awesome!!!
Dance Crew – This term Miss Morris with help from Miss Rongonui made a dance crew to perform in the production this term. Last term a group of girls choreographed the dance and then taught it to the rest of the boys and girls who wanted to be in it. It now looks awesome!!!
Football – Nikolas did a football tournament and about 5 teams entered, 4 boys teams and a girls team. Our girls team enjoyed it but didn’t score a single goal or win a single game!! After playing little matches Nikolas has chosen 12 people to be in a football team and will be playing Paremata on Monday!! Good luck!
In room 10 we got an awesome student teacher called Miss Rowe. She will be in our class for the rest of the term!!!

Last gossip of the term

Hi Everyone!
On the night of Friday 25th June we had the 2010 Masquerade Social for Taupo Syndicate! It was soooo fun and everyone had a ball! There were some awesome masks, pretty dresses, and cool catwalks!
Some people got prizes like
Danielle-Tallest heels and she won headbands
Georgia-Best Dressed Girl and won plastic Oscar
Caitlin and Keeley- Monty Carlo and won 3 water guns
Hunter-Coolest mask and he won some thing sorry cant remember
Declan- Most scariest mask and he won some fart bombs, a fake knife and a fake bloody finger
It was an awesome night and there were heaps of awesome music and all the year 7’s will be waiting for next years social!
We would like to say a big thank you to DJ Daniel Cook and everyone who made our social sooo awesome!
P.S-the food was nice!
We promise to write some more next week!
Today is the last day of school for the term YAY!!!!
Miss Rongonui is going to Sydney on Wednesday.
Emma is going skiing at Mt Ruapehu
Maia is going to Chch to visit her cousins.
Abby’s sister is coming to Welly from Blenheim
Rachel is going somewhere in the 2nd week, ohhhhh a mystery holiday.
Harry has got an Indoor cricket tourney in Petone
Eru has a Western Bays Rugby Tournie in Lower Hutt
Bradley will more than likely have a squash tournament.
We are sure that a lot of us will go to the movies to see ECLIPSE!! Abby and Cyan are going today after school Miss Rongonui is very jealous!!! but she is going to Sydney…
This morning was the last full school assembly of the term.
There were loads of awesome dances like taup syndicates own waltz that a bunch of us were taught to by Carole and it turned out really well!
Cyan also made a movie about the social and it was shown to the whole school and there were some really funny photos of everyone!
Since it is the last day of the term, every class will be doing something fun today like watching a movie or playing lots of games!

Gossip 18th June
Hello again!
Sausage Sizzle today!! Yummy!!
Mia's hair is straightened today it looks so pretty!
We have been making up dances to a happy feet song called Mumble! But the catch is we have to make up moves that represent Antarctica, because we have been studying Antarctica for the past few weeks!
Tyler believes in cooties- Sinead was brave enough to hug him just to annoy him!
The cultural performance is coming up and the choir, Kapa Haka and bands (including the rock band) have been preparing as hard as they can to make a excellent performance for their parents and friends!
The social is next week and all the girls are fussing about what they're going to wear!- the theme is masquerade!!
Toms just been away for 2 days sick :( but he's back!
A few days ago nearly half the girls in the syndicate went to the Wellington Girls College open day! - including me (Cyan) :)
We are just about to do our favourite subject-ART!!

Friday 6th June
Hey again everyone!!
On Tuesday the 1st June, we had the interschool x-country.
From years 4-8 went to Battle Hill to compete against a few different schools.
(Under 10)
Out of the year 8 boys from our school,
Bradley came 6th
Out of the year 8 girls,
Helena came 2nd
Santana came 4th
Francesca came 7th
Out of the year 7 boys
Bailey came 7th
Daniel came 8th
Cameron came 9th
Out of year 7 girls
Nicola came 4th
it was really fun but hard and me (Abby) had a great time because it was my first time at the interschools. It was a great experience!
Today we have our first social dancing practice!!!
Also today the social committee are having a meeting to decide a theme for the social!!

Yet another busy week at our school. We had the Rippa Rugby Tournie at Ngati Toa yesterday and the domain lived up to its reputation. Wind, wind and more wind! Team one came forth in the Year 7/8 competition. We won our pool and went on to play Postgate in a thrilling, past paced game. There were a total of 17 tries scored in the game 8 to us and 9 to Postgate (in extra time). Despite our disappointment team one had a great time. Team two won one game drew a game and lost a game in their pool and team three also had great games however losing all of their games in their pool. It is always a great day when we are out of the classroom. It is just the head wind on our way back to school that kind of let us down!

Kia Ora and welcome to Room 10 two thousand and ten, or twenty ten. We have just gone through our first full week back at school and things are slowly but surely getting into place.
We have got a busy term coming up and with it being a short term we have got a lot to cram in.
Next week we are going Sailing. This is always a huge success and I know that the year 7's are looking forward to it, as well as the year 8's.
The following week we are off to camp. It is a great experience and also a great time of bonding for the class.
We have a range of sporting events coming up, such as cricket rippa rugby and underwater hockey. There are trials on at the moment for cricket, rippa trials will be on after the camp and underwater hockey trials are on Monday lunchtime.
So "Lets get ready to rumble". There will be some photos and videos up of a lot of the up coming events.
