Laura

She smells like expensive shampoo at night and her sweet lolly smelling perfume, very irresistible, in the morning. She brushes through her light brown hair as it flows light a twirling river down passed her shoulder blades. My favourite sister, Laura is turning 21 in October this year. She sleeps like an exhausted baby in her bed downstairs after a hard day of work and usually gym. Her ringing voice comforts me and makes me feel warm. She talks about her random emails and how she gets to buy chocolate biscuits for work.

When she looks at me with her twinkling hazel eyes and long dark eyelashes I always feel loved. Sometimes I watch her help kids with their dances while she teaches. She hates helicopters even though she works with them. She has to send her free time she has studying for Uni. She loves her designer glasses and eats custard squares with her darling friends.

Laura is my most special person. We’re weird, like when we turn our favourite songs right up as we drive along the motorway! And how she loves and hates Twilight at the same time! I love it when she acts as if she’s the same age as me! “XOX”

Edie

My sister Edie has soft short blonde hair with a cute side fringe. She has a cheeky smile and little dimples on both her cheeks. Her eyes are sparkling blue like the ocean when the sun is shining on it, and a little freckled nose. She skips beside me and her head almost touches my shoulder, but not quite.

When I talk to Edie she always sounds either really excited, or really disappointed, never in the middle. She always smells sweet like a watermelon, or either exactly like baby powder. Edie always tells me about what she’s learning in ballet or guitar, or about what she does at lunch.

She can be such a little tattle-tale sometimes, like when I say a “naughty word” and her eyes pop out as she draws in a deep breath to shout “MUM NINA SWORED” and it really gets on my nerves. At the end of the day though, I realize, she’s a little 6 year old girl, who happens to have me as her big and oldest sister. What can you expect?
